- Biography
-
Frank Stella was born in 1936 in Malden, Massachusetts. After graduating from the Phillips Academy, he studied painting and art history at Princeton University. He is a representative American artist who has consistently faced new attempts and forms head-on with a passion for continuous creativity and an experimental spirit within his artworks. Sculpture functions as a painting in space, and it reacts within space. Stella’s sculptures encompass pictorial elements as well as architectural elements. The
, between 2003 and 2009, and the ongoing series since 2006 demonstrate unique experimentation and exploration of his art world.
